Spice wins the Silver Medal at the European Solal Marketing Awards
The shopping complex Spice has received silver at the European Solal Marketing Awards, organised by the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC). During the ceremony in the Dutch capital Amsterdam Spice triumphed in the Corporate Social Responsibility category with its charity campaign “Share and Care”. Spice is the only shopping complex in Baltic countries that has won the prestigious award this year.
Every year more than 500 pregnant women in Latvia do not have even the things of the first necessity for the new-born babies. Spice Home in cooperation with Mothers Club, the most popular community of Latvian mothers, decided to join efforts and help to mother-to-be women and their babies. The charity goal was achieved — more than 700 kilograms of baby things were donated and 500 charity boxes were delivered to hospitals and crisis centers.
“Such a prestigious award is seen as a benchmark of quality through the industry. It is very important to Latvia not only to Spice. Spice is considered to be one of the best shopping centres in Western Europe, and this proves that we have been, and still are, on the right track – our efforts are appreciated not only by clients but also by industry experts. I wish to say a big thank-you to the excellent marketing team of Spice for their contribution, as well as to our long-time partners Mothers Club and public relations agency Prospero,” says Iveta Lāce, the shopping complex Spice Director.
European Solal Marketing Awards are the benchmark of the industry’s creative excellence, bringing together the best shopping centre marketing across Europe and South Africa. This year 216 applications from 23 countries have been assessed in 8 categories. The campaigns have been analysed by a jury made up of international marketing professionals from 17 countries. The annual award ceremony takes place during the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) Conference for Industry Professionals.
