The Spice shopping complex plans to invest over 7 million euros to develop Spice Wellness, a unique services complex for health, medicine and wellbeing. Spice Wellness with five floors and over 5,000 m² of rentable space will be adjoined to the existing shopping mall. The Riga City Construction Board has issued the permit for the first building stage of Spice Wellness, based on which the design of the project will be finalised.

Spice Wellness will have great tenants such as Veselības Centrs 4, Dr. Lūkina acu klīnika, E. Gulbja laboratorija, Dr. Ģīļa plastiskās ķirurģijas kabinets, Dr. Apines zobārstniecības klīnika, Orto klīnika, and other medical and beauty treatments will be available, as well as family practice doctors and a sports club. A Gastronome delicacy market, as well as multiple cafes and restaurants, are planned on the first floor, which will render the client experience wider and more diverse.

The Spice shopping complex is located in a strategically important place in Riga – within a 5-minute drive from the airport and close to a state-level road which connects Riga to nearby districts and other cities of Latvia. That is why a successful cooperation was ensured with the Riga City Council City Development Department, the construction board, Riga city architect and the architects of Mark architecture bureau.

Kadrija Pudova, director of the Spice shopping complex: “During the development planning process, we paid extra attention to the dynamic routines and needs of our clients. We thought about those services that are important to us all, but which are sometimes so hard to access every day, for example, the availability of different medical treatments on workday evenings and weekends. After the opening of Spice Wellness, the Spice shopping complex will be the first in the Baltics to offer its clients shopping and entertainment together with services aimed at improving health and quality of life”.

The Riga City Construction Board has issued the permit for the first stage of building Spice Wellness, based on which the project design will be finalised and documents prepared to submit the entire technical project. The Spice Wellness building is designed in the BIM environment, which means that every potential tenant can already view their premises in virtual reality, before the actual construction has started. Spice continues working on the new Spice Wellness brand, concept development and improving the tenant mix.

At the same time, with the construction of Spice Wellness, Spice plans to improve the facade of the existing building and the multiple storey car park, to build a leisure area and a children’s playground outside the shopping mall. Finally, improvements to the road infrastructure are planned at the time of the construction.
