Turnover of Saules Miestas centre reached 174 million Litas last year

Within the second year of its activity, Šiauliai Fashion and Leisure Centre Saules Miestasreached the turnover of 174 million Litas. In year 2007, starting from 14 March, the turnover came to 140 million Litas. Therefore, the average monthly turnover in year 2008 did not change and came to as much as 14,5 million Litas.

Last year, nearly 8 million customers visited Saules Miestas. In year 2007, starting from 14 March, the number of visitors exceeded 6 million. An average monthly number of the visitors of Saules Miestas came to 630 thousand in year 2007 and 670 thousand in year 2008.

According to Eligijus Barista, director of the Fashion and Leisure Centre Saules Miestas, these rates reflect the economic situation of the city. „Although the flow of visitors has increased, their purchasing power has become less. In year 2007, on average one visitor used to spend approximately 23 Litas, and last year it came to 21 Litas“, Eligijus Barista said.

There are 800 employees working in Saules Miestas. Over 90 various companies are established in the Centre, there is a modern bus station and a car washer.
