Rait Pallo joins Management Board of real estate company Kapitel

On 9 January, the real estate company Kapitel, previously known as E.L.L. Kinnisvara, appointed a new member, Rait Pallo, to the Chief Financial Officer position of its Management Board. The management board continues with three members: the Chairman of the Management Board and CEO Taavi Ojala, Development Director Indrek Moorats and CFO Rait Pallo.

“We’re very pleased that a top executive with years of experience in a large Estonian organisation decided to join Kapitel,” said Chairman of the Kapitel Management Board, Taavi Ojala. “Rait’s new ideas and different kind of previous experience will assist greatly in the future, especially as regards the strategic expansion of the company and development project launch periods. Rait’s decision to accept the offer from Kapitel in particular is highly appreciated, as he is a recognized top executive and colleague at his current employer and would be exactly that at many other companies.”

Rait Pallo commented: “The idea to look for new challenges outside the banking sector occurred to me quite some time ago. Kapitel’s expansion plans, management culture and values were the main arguments that persuaded me to decide to accept the challenge of serving as CFO for Kapitel. Hopefully I will be able to put the real estate and banking knowledge I have amassed over the years to work successfully for Kapitel.”

Rait Pallo, who has longstanding experience in the financial sector, worked for Swedbank for 16 years, including the last seven years as a Member of the Management Board and head of operational risk for Swedbank Estonia. Since early 2017, Pallo was also at the helm of establishing the Swedbank Group’s risk control division’s competence centre in Estonia and Latvia. In the years 2009–2010, Pallo was employed at Swedbank’s high-risk business client department, and before that, in the l real estate financing department. Rait has a bachelor’s degree from Estonian Business School in finance and banking and a master’s degree from the Tallinn University of Technology in corporate finance.
