Panorama shopping and leisure centre turnover increases more than 5% in 2017

The turnover of Panorama shopping and leisure centre in Vilnius increased by 5.5% compared to 2016, totalling 126 million EUR in 2017, and reaching the record highs.

The turnover of Panorama centre increased in almost all segments and the largest growth is attributable to the Christmas period, which reached record three-year results. The turnover increased the most, 16% in services segment, 14% both in electronic, IT and mobile phone segment and in the restaurant and cafe segment, 12% in gourmet segment. The turnover  increased by 6% in the cosmetic segment and 4% in the children’s goods and the pharmaceutical and optics segment, the turnover of clothing and fashion segment remained stable, increasing marginally.

“The results show that our customers are increasingly embracing shopping comfort and wish to spend more time after shopping in cosy restaurants or to take advantage of visiting banking, beauty or household services in one convenient location,” says Birutė Kalanovaitė, Managing Director of Panorama.

The number of visitors of Panorama centre increased by 3% last year, compared to 2016. In December 2017, customer flows grew 9% compared to the same period in 2016 and were the highest over the previous three-year period. In 2017, the average spend per visitor was up 5% over 2016, while the number of purchases increased by 0.3%.
“The larger customer flows encourage us to make larger investments in the coming year in shopping area space and to further renovate infrastructure. As we strive to make shopping faster and easier, we have already renewed parking areas and security systems. We are constantly updating our brand portfolio and are looking seriously at customer expectations and changing habits,” Birutė Kalanovaitė added.

In 2017, Panorama introduced 14 new brands, while 10 tenants updated their concept and interior designs to increase customer comfort and make the shopping experience more convenient.
